Existing customers may perhaps be aware of the media hype this week surrounding the launch of Microsoft's new operating system called Windows Vista.
Doubtless this is and/or will prove to be an exciting new product but our strongest advice for the time being is to stick with your current operating system (e.g. XP) unless:-
1) you identify an immediate and over-riding benefit from using Vista 2) your have money simply burning a hole in your pocket and have nothing else to spend it on Certainly, in terms of using LoftOrganiser or SecPro , we know of no advantage as yet to be gained by upgrading your operating system to Vista. Indeed, until we ourselves test Vista we cannot be categoric that either LoftOrganiser or SecPro will like sitting on a Vista upgrade platform. There are some suggestions that Vista may actually increase your RAM requirement, adding further cost to any upgrade exercise. If you go against our advice and elect to upgrade to Vista, then please please please take a backup of your entire C:\Program Files\LoftOrg* or C:\Program Files\SecPro directory before doing so. We cannot be held responsible for any subsequential problems endured following an upgrade to an unproven platform. For any other advice or assistance you can e-mail or call us at any time!
