Dave Hawthorne’s prime interest is long distance racing and whilst of course his birds will race some shorter distances these races are used as preparation for the Bergerac, Bordeaux, and Tarbes races in mid-late Summer each year. You can absolutely see this in the birds he offers for sale here on PBO. No flash pedigrees, some well-known and loved old English strains such as Southwell and Westcott, just performance pigeon breeding lines that you can absolutely trust and depend on. I must say, for a non-photographer, Dave’s done a good job with the photos and the birds all look extremely well I’m sure you’ll agree. If distance racing’s your passion or aspiration, these birds will add depth and vigour to your stock loft.
